Sharing 127

Often Church is seen as a place where everything is expected to look perfect;it’s not seen in anyway a place where we can show up crooked, right?

But in a fallen world, all of us are “crooked”. Each with our natural weaknesses and vulnerable temptations. But the Scripture encourages us the opposite attitude. In 2 Corinthians 12, for example, Paulsuggests that its in our weaknesses – for him, an unnamed struggle he called a “ thorn in my flesh”v.7 — which Christ is most likely reveal His power. Jesus said to Paul,
“ My power is made perfect in weakness”v.9. So Paul understood, “ For Christ sake , I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties; for when I am weak, then I am strong “.v.10

We may not like our imperfections, but hiding them only denies Jesus power to work within us. But when we invite Jesus into our crooked place in us, He will gently redeems and strengthen us in a way our effort could never accomplish.

Let’s invite Jesus into our imperfections for His mending.
